Aalborg wet lab laparoscopy courses. Dates for 2011 include 14 February, 11 April, 6 June, 12 September, 10 October, 7 November.
Places are limited to a maximum of 6 participants per course. The Course Fee is only £395 (This is a subsidised rate for trainees).

Urology MSc/Diploma in Urology Course
Applications taken until end of July.

It is possible for trainees to sit the MSc part-time over 2 or 4 years - every Friday term time for 2 years or alternate Fridays term time for 4 years. There is also a stronger research element to the course - meaning abstracts and papers to enhance CVs and help pass the FRCS (Urol). All ST3 and ST4 trainees are encouraged to enrol, along with committed CT2s/research fellows. Please contact julie.kingsbury@ucl.ac.uk for further details.

Junior European Robotic Urology Society - Wednesday 5th October, Hamburg.
Junior ERUS will be hosting a symposium as part of the 2011 ERUS annual meeting in Hamburg. Junior ERUS has been set up to look after the interests of trainees and young urologists with an interest in Robotic Surgery. This year's symposium will focus on various aspects of training, bedside assistance and taking the first steps on the console. We shall be inviting submissions of interesting videos (max. 3 minutes) and posters concerning aspects of lab training, patient positioning, bedside assisting or elementary tips & tricks for the beginning console surgeon. The authors of the best three videos and posters will be awarded generous prizes at the end of our meeting. The winner will be rewarded with a free fellowship at a robotic training center for one month (worth Euro 3000). Second and third prize winners are respectively free registration for ERUS’12 and a free registration for one Master Class, organised by ERUS. The registration fee for the Junior ERUS symposium is 50 Euros (discount of Euro 50 over non residents). The residents entrance fee also entitles residents to a reduction of 50 Euros on one Master Class, organised by ERUS in 2011. See http://www.erus2011.com for details.

Cambridge ureteroscopy workshop, December 5th-6th 2011.

This two day course will provide delegates with training on models with rigid and flexible ureteroscopes, and also allow for a day in theatre watching live cases.
